Fairfield Family Holiday Giving Program Needs Your Help
Fairfield Social Services is seeking gift cards and monetary donations for our annual Family Holiday Giving program. Each year the Town of
Fairfield Social Services assists local families in need during the holidays.
Gift card suggestions are: Target, Kohl‟s, Walmart, Marshalls and Stop and Shop. Donations are gratefully accepted during business hours 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM at the Bigelow Center.

American Film Classics continues with a showing of “Frank Capra’s American Dream,” a documentary about the career of the legendary film director who created such film masterpieces as “It Happened One Night,” and “It‟s a Wonderful Life.” The film will start at 12:45. All
are wel come. Presented by Dr. Frank DeStefano.
Frank Capra‟s American Dream: “I hated being poor. Hated being a peasant. Hated being a scrounging news kid trapped in the sleazy Sicilian ghetto of Los Angeles. My family couldn‟t read or write. I
wanted out. A quick out. I looked for a device, a handle, a pole to catapult myself across the tracks from my scurvy habitat of nobodies to the affluent world of somebodies.” Tuesday, December 13 at Noon. Holiday Music with Brian Taylor. Provided by a grant from Musicfest.

Beads, Beads and More!
With Viola Galetta. Bring your creative spirit and make a
necklace or bracelet with beautifully crafted beads. Create your „one of a kind‟ piece to enjoy for years. BYOB bring your own beads, or choose from a selection. Registration required. Bring your own materials if you have them.
Cost: $10 fee per class plus the cost of beads selected (prices range
from $15 -$30 for beads). Register for as many classes as you like

Veteran News from Fairfield's Veterans Services and Fairfield’s Social Services: The CT Department of Veterans Affairs is providing a workshop for Connecticut veterans thinking of starting a business. The
Veterans Small Business Workshop is also for those who are already in business and want to grow revenue

The Fairfield Police 48 x 68 Custom Throw blanket is available at the Bigelow Center for $40 per blanket.
All proceeds from the sale of the blanket go to the Fairfield Police Union Scholarship Fun.
